  • Quality grapples have jaws that are made of Hardox steel, and have wear plates.
  • Every joint in a Valby grapple has a grease fitting and a bronze bushing.
  • The Valby grapples have powerful cylinders with heavy pistons.
  • Twin connection rods provide good balance and less stress.
  • A belly plate protects the cylinder from below.
  • The Valby grapples are of modern bypass grapple design that support the log from underneath and both sides.
  • The jaws close to a tight minimum opening.
  • The SG36HD has a sturdy mounting plate.  We recommend the R 30 rotator.
  • The Grapple is a bypass design, which enables controlled release of the load.
