VALBY CH 300 F A woodchipper for Sawmills. The Valby CH 300 is well suited for sawmill use. Slabs up to 24" wide can be chipped with this chipper. The chip size is adjustable between 1/4" and 3/4". UNIFORM CHIPS The chipper makes uniform chips because the chips have to pass through a secondary cutter and a crusher screen before they are blown out from the chipper. This chip mechanism produces exceptionally uniform chips, which can be, for example, augered without further screening.
The diagonal mouth opening of the CH 300 Chipper is 27". (The feed chute has been removed for the photo) This enables wide slabs, up to 24" to be chipped. The chipper has a built in fan, and when run at 1000 RPM speed it can blow the chips into a 40 ft. trailer. The heavy duty bearings enable the chippers to be turned up to 1000 rpm. Safety Features The Valby Chippers do not have knife motion toward the operator - this reduces the risk of loose material flying back through the feed chute. The discharge height is 10' 2" above ground so the discharge is above eye level. To accomplish safe operation in various wind direction, the Valby chipper's discharge direction is adjustable 360 degrees. The safety bar on top of the F 300 feed chute releases a flap which covers the feed opening. In the hydraulic feed model, one can not only stop the infeed, but it can also be reversed. The Valby chippers also have several noise-reduction features. The discharge opening is above ear level. It is adjustable and can be directed away from the operator. The noise coming up through the feed chute is greatly reduced by the flap which covers the feed chute. The hydraulic feed rollers also return to a position which covers up the feed chute. LOW MAINTENENCE The chipper requires little maintenece. Removing and repacing the knives for sharpening is easy to do as the upper housing is on a hinge which provides good access. |
