The Primero 9000 Log Trailer. The Primero line of forest equipment is targeted to meet the requirements of part-time contractors. The Primero line includes many features that are usually only found in equipment designed for professional users. The trailers have a single beam frame, which enables the bogie and stake frames to be moved to a desired position. The drawbar tongue is hinged, and can be seen in front of the loader. Two hydraulic cylinders enable side shifting of the trailer from the tractor "on the go." This hydraulic steering feature enables the trailer to follow in the tracks of the tractor when turning. The operator can have the trailer make sharp or wide turns. By side-shifting the tongue, one can also move a loader over to each side for longer reach.
The floating tandem bogie and the 15 ½" wide tires enable the trailer to work in most terrains, while reducing damage to the residual stand by creating fewer ruts. The trailer stakes are detachable and the stake pockets on the frame enable the stakes to give way if they hit a standing tree. This feature works if the trailer is empty or partially loaded and eliminates damage to the trailer and reduces damage to the tree. The trailer is for terrain use only. It does not have over the road capabilities.
